We are committed to helping people with disabilities be able to get on the beach with Michigan Action Track Chairs. These chairs will help those with disabilities get onto and enjoy the beach and shoreline with all their beach gear in tow.
Water Safety Education In All Schools in Michigan
Our dedicated team of water safety experts has helped write and champion a water safety education bill in conjunction with Senator Victory requiring all schools in Michigan to teach water safety education. Water Safety Education Bill 0736
Red Flag Day Park Parties
These park parties are temporarily on hold:
Our organization is bringing Red Flag Day Park Parties to our parks this coming summer season. These park parties will open with a water safety presentation that lead into make and take projects for kids, water safety education booths, food trucks, cornhole tournament with cash prizes and the ultimate Capture the "Red" Flag tournament with Grand Prize for winning team.
Life Ring Station Sponsorships
Our organization is focusing efforts on gaining sponsors for life ring stations along South Haven's shores. Each station will cost $600 which includes the life ring box, life ring, throw bag, rope, post, signage, and placement labor. LED Signs at beachfront access points
Community members are partnering with our organization and Mega Technologies to bring LED Signage to display water and air conditions, flag colors, buoy reports, and weather alerts to each beach access point on North & South Beach.
STR Tool Boxes
We here at South Haven Ambassadors Program & Education Inc. think that it is a really great thing to have all the tools needed for a safe day at the beach. Included in our toolboxes are a water safety education brochure, a things to do on red flag days QR code poster, a water watcher silicone wristband, water watcher card to explain the responsibility of a water watcher, a rescue breath mask, a whistle. If you are interested in a tool box for your short term rental home near the beach the cost is $20 per tool box.
